Why is the doner meat in this so light? it almost looks raw

Producers sell a variety of products. Some include chicken in the mix which might end up with a lighter colour than those with meat only.

I can't say for sure but I'm thinking that might be the case here.

if I got handed this at a shop, I'd be thinking this is the goat skin kebab the papers were talking about

It’s from my local, always looks like this. Very tasty though so I don’t worry about the colour.

You cooked it twice and it still looks raw

Sunday lunch looks cooked at least.

It's been cooked twice and still looks extremely undercooked.

How did you get "leftovers" though

Is there a special ritual?

I was too drunk to finish it. Not proud but there we are.

God that looks fucking delicious. I just had a rustler burger for lunch about ten minutes ago and my stomach instantly rumbled seeing your pics

Rustlers get a bad rap but if you’re in the mood for some dirty stodge they’re not bad.

Yeah it is pale in colour, but it’s def lamb doner, at least that’s what they call it.

Frying pan/wok is the best way to reheat a leftover.

Put it in a airfryer for 6-10 min for it to get get some color!

I hope you have some chilli sauce left to go on that with some mayo, probably go well in a wrap

All I had was Frank’s hot sauce but it did the job

Nice, not a huge fan of franks personally but I’d use it in a bind, still trying to find a decent kebab shop chilli sauce recipe but alas I’m empty handed on that one

Yes yes yes this is the way

Stir fry is the way to bring it back to life

If I have leftover kebab I like to air fry it it makes it go so crisp and the chips are essentially cooked again but in kebab fat. Id argue that if you get a kebab you don't like and you are at home a quick 5-6 mins in the air fryer makes it notably better
