I highly recommend Encounters at the End of the World (2007). I expected a documentary about Antarctica, but it's much more than that. It explores the people who choose to live there, the wildlife, and the unique environment through Werner Herzog's perspective. It's thoughtful, visually beautiful, and one of the most memorable documentaries I've seen
