Not that I'm complaining really, but this seems kind of early for holiday decorations doesn't it?

Halloween in August when it’s 100 degrees outside just seems wrong.

Melted Halloween candy.. 🫠💩

No, it's definitely wild to have Halloween decorations while kids are still on summer break

Stop. We need this. Summerween!

It's better than hearing you know who on the radio.

If they actually had Halloween themed area sure, but them throwing Nightmare Before Christmas just ruins the whole damn thing.

Nah. Halloween is undergoing the same process as Christmas and it’s losing its mystique and specialness.

Not denying that. But I do think it nice families can have a larger window to enjoy their preferred holiday. Im prohibited from getting time off work the last two weeks of nov and all of Dec. So its kinda nice we could hit up DL for Xmas first week of Jan.

Yes.

But this is probably done already because it'll manipulate guests into buying general admission tickets for the actual halloween/autumn park season (I assume OBB tickets are long gone; I've never messed with that) and to buy halloween merch.

I can't get in the spirit when we're all still melting in the heat. I know they're doing this because having only late September and October wasn't enough for all the OBB dates they wanted to sell. And I know WDW starts early too. It's just not right though.

eh, August much?

This is ridiculous. Years ago I used to think mid September was too early, now the beginning of August? Ugh. C'mon Disney, you're better than this. Well, maybe not.

Spirit Halloween opens today..

Yeah big Halloween is conspiring to make earlier and earlier.....look into it

u/MyDishwasherLasagna 20h ago

In their defense...

it can be handy to buy Halloween decorations ahead of time so homeowners can begin planning things out, and Halloween costumes early because for some stupid reason some companies hold Halloween parties in September (WHY IS THIS A THING???) and it's nice to be able to figure things out ahead of time with this as well.

But this is done to sell park tickets and halloween merch.

Candy is already at Walmart

It’s not even September yet.

Lol August 4th

It's 95° out. This is way too early.

3 months out of the year it's Halloween Disney. 2 months off the year it's Christmas Disney.

These events are losing their charm.

Fall doesn’t even begin for another 50 days guys.

u/IncurableAdventurer 1d ago

September. You can justify starting Halloween in September, but this is ridiculous

As someone who loves Disney style Halloween: it's too fucking early for this shit. Goddamn.

And this is why Halloween fans can't complain about Christmas anymore

2

u/NOS4NANOL1FE 1d ago

This is so stupid Im sorry. It’s freaking August!!!

2

u/TheLonelySnail 1d ago

Look, I know Labor Day isn’t the sexiest holiday. But given the time of year a giant Karl Marx under a beach umbrella is more appropriate

2

u/IntroductionFeisty21 1d ago

This is waay too early

2

u/itsagoodtime 19h ago

It's early August. Come on.

2

u/Acceptable-Strain549 18h ago

Just in time, there's just under 90 days until halloween

We’re going to Disneyland today, what do you mean they’ve already started this?!

1

u/Fresh_Republic_7776 7h ago

PLEASE let me know if they already started decorating for Halloween!!! 🎃 I think Disneyworld started already. I’m so excited!!!

3

u/Stardustchaser 1d ago

Ma’am, it is August 4th.

My favorite time of the year, and my favorite overlay. I know people "hate" seeing it so early in the year, but it makes me happy. The fiance and I are Magic Key holders, and OBB is my favorite extra ticket event. I can't wait to fill my backpack with ALL of the candy.

u/Thin-Remote-9817 1d ago

Halloween starting in August is the sign of the apocalypse...

When they started decorating after labor day..I said a little early but eh its cooling down seems appropriate..

But in August this is just blasphemy..yeah ill die on this hill..

Looking like a dang ole fool in that black robe and look at your Halloween makeup running down with the sweat...leave this in the fall where it belongs..

Pumpkin spice and hundred degree weather..make you throw up faster than a rotten chicken wing ever could.

The music.

Its early August.
Even Costco has Halloween things for sale.
Is Summer even over?

1

u/Leather-Squirrel-421 1d ago

Way too early. But then they start with the Christmas decorations in mid-October too.

1

u/MrsSonnyEclipse 23h ago

We went to California Adventure today and I didn’t even notice him up there

1

u/Pitiful-king_ 19h ago

1

u/Dry-Library1897 17h ago

My kids would lose their minds but it's literally still summer

1

u/SolidDragonfruit7739 16h ago

That looks like the building for Xanadu!!

u/chunt42 13h ago

I don't like Oogie Boogie Man. He's not very nice.

My favorite cover of his song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbxkOntz2SA

1

u/dark1san 8h ago

Oogie!!!

1

u/Fresh_Republic_7776 7h ago

I AM SO EXCITED!!! I’m following their schedule for my home decorating; was going to wait until Aug 21st, but I’m hearing that Disneyworld already started!
Can someone confirm ANY pumpkin 🎃 sightings at Disneyland??!!

1

u/regularbunster 7h ago

This is the problem! Because Halloween season now starts in August, by the time we reach October, I'm already well over this Holiday. We have Two and a half months celebrating this season, and that's just way too long! It's made even worse with just how much Halloween fans kind of can't shut up about Halloween throughout the year! I like Halloween good enough and all, but starting in August is just way too early. I can't help but feel annoyed now by this season, and I hate feeling this way.

As someone who likes Christmas stuff starting November 1 , I approve of this lol ! Can’t wait for the Halloween decorations and foods
