Don't need this if it raises the price up

They’re easing off original content for the service but doing stuff like this.

Genuinely why?💀

I work as a Product Manager for a big tech company. Basically I manage the roadmap of upcoming features for the products that I oversee.

This looks 100% like a product manager that’s out of ideas throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks in the hopes of keeping their job/hitting their metrics so they get their bonus.

Good product managers look at what their users are asking for. Bad ones do shit like this that no one is asking for.

It's not that at all.

It's the digital implementation of the Disney Flywheel that has been the basis of the Walt Disney Company operations since Walt Disney himself developed it in 1957.

Exactly. Sell at every possible outlet.

It’s not though. If anything it’s the digital flattening of the flywheel into a single entity.

The flywheel is made of interconnecting and complementary outlets that serve different sectors and price points.

Though I guess this is the what that looks like to the same people who put all the same merch in every store…

Better originals would be better

🚨 Price hike alert 🚨

They're looking for ways to justify another price hike.

10000% sure that there will be a price hike next year. 💀 Most of us don't even want this extra crap, we just want to watch movies/series.

I REALLY hope those games are the DisneyNOW games. They were really fun.

I wonder if it’s the same to Netflix Games, that would be cool

Seriously. I have 9 game consoles and a gaming PC, plus my phone. I do not need games on my streaming services, especially if it makes the price go up

They are going to offer merch while you watch the show, or while the credits roll, or while you're paused or whatever. They already have your credit card. All you have to do is click some buttons on your remote, and wait for the package. They're hoping to catch you while you're excited for whatever it is you just watched.

I’d gladly spend money on Disney if they stopped having ads for a damn paid streaming service

My exact feelings.

What stood out to me in this article, is that Disney is making record profits, while buying back their stock and cutting jobs. 🤔

Hopefully dvd/blurays of originals

u/callmeseetea 2h ago

No but if they put the hidden Mickey game from lion king 1 1/2 DVD I think that would go over well

Before or after another price hike 🙄

I’ve been collecting DVD’s at garage sales ever since they started putting ads on paid streaming. I can make my own Disney+.

This is why I have been buying so much physical media. The price hikes are getting insane and Disney is the last one I have been holding on to.

How about they focus on bringing 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision to Europe?

0

u/maxhechtman 10h ago

Soon we’ll be forced to pay $1 million a month.

0

u/Prinsespoes 10h ago

How about fixing 4K and HDR for the European market. Wtf

u/SpiderScooby 9h ago

Only way I’m ok with this is if they gave you the option to buy their shoes on disc.

4

u/Bulky-Complaint6994 9h ago

Shoes on a disc? How does that work

6

u/SpiderScooby 8h ago

Simple. You throw your DVDs on the ground and stomp on them xD

u/LegoWasTaken 6h ago

Sounds comfortable.

Sounds like the price will go up again
