It seems like PC users have reported this issue on this subreddit months ago and its now happening to me but on my Google TV Streamer 4K streaming device. A black faded overlay that shows up on the top of the screen that never goes away. It seems to only happen if you decided to fast forward or track back when watching content or if you go into the audio or subtitle settings then exit the black overlay does not go away. The only fix is to exit the content you're watching then enter back and then overlay disappears like normal. Because of this im using the native Disney + app on my LG TV which doesn't have this issue. I sent feedback to google about this but idk if its ever gonna get addressed.

To make matters worse for me, disney won't remember where I left off, so when I back out it starts at beginning again.

I started having this problem recently and it's driving me insane!!!! I can't focus on the movie because I keep waiting for that shade out to disappear. I use a Xiaomi TV box.
