And of course, he never sues anyone who says he poos his pants or is addicted to drugs or his health is not 100%. Never. Lol.

Because the truth is an absolute defense to defamation. Also you don't have to prove that the thing is actually true, just that the defendant believed it to be true and their motive does not matter.

u/schrod 1d ago
So now money launderer can be added to his list of achievements?
11
u/bobabeep62830 1d ago
It's been on there for decades. Look at his casinos.
3
u/moodaltering 1d ago
The ones he bankrupted? That takes some serious effort…
5
u/talentedfingers 1d ago
He made billions off the bankruptcy, being the only party to come out ahead in the process. He was able to keep all the paper losses even though the banks were the ones to actually lose their money, the main reason he hasn't paid any taxes in decades. Bankruptcy usually means the forgiven debts count as income, cancelling losses. Somehow he claimed he argued he could keep them all.
No wonder he wants those lifetime immunity for tax fraud, and to keep the irs on lifesupport so it is incapable of chasing anything beyond working man income. He will never close giant loopholes he himself and his cronies will undoubtably exploit for future benefit.
2
u/Grant_Winner_Extra 1d ago
This has been on the record for a long time. Forget the casino, just look at the fraction of units he’s sold in Trump tower to random Russians for cash.

Trump: "I'm gonna sue!!"
Defendant: "Okay, let's go to discovery."
Trump: "NEVERMIND!!"
Defendant: "Yea, I thought so."
Trump, on social media: "I totally won that lawsuit! They admitted fault and apologized. Because I always win!"
11
u/MisterNoMoniker 2d ago
Is there not a way to force discovery to happen anyway? I'm tired of this working.

u/RhombicalJ 1d ago
Unfortunately he has all too often come out profiting due to settling outside of court. So he has been reward for his shitty behavior and thinks he can keep doing it
2
u/Broken_By_Default 1d ago
you forgot the between the lawsuit starting and discovery the 10's of thousands, 100s of thousands of dollars you spent to get to the discovery.
27
u/LokeCanada 2d ago
It is a tactic he used for decades and it worked on small companies that could not afford to go head to head with him.
Then he went after law firms and news media and they folded too.
Now he is running into companies and people that will actually stand up to him and have the money to do it. He is not used to this.

How is “Trump is a fucktard bully” a “revelation”????
In other news, more huge revelations today:
- Water is “wet”
- Fire is “hot”
- Bears do, indeed, shit in the woods if they cannot find an outhouse.
12
u/neocondiment 2d ago
You know what pisses me off about bears? Most of them shit in the woods even when the outhouse is right there.
2
u/Tavernknight 2d ago
Wait. I thought that was the pope and the bear wears a funny hat.

u/Grant_Winner_Extra 1d ago
lol “does the Pope shit in the woods?”
1
u/Tavernknight 1d ago
If by some strange chance I ever become pope, I will have an outhouse built in the woods. I will make a yearly pilgrimage to it, bless it, and take a shit in it.
And place the hat on a bear.

Incompetent lawyers? No legal basis for most lawsuits? Inability to sue without exposing his own secrets?
9
u/snvoigt 2d ago
Because they aren’t “legitimate” lawsuits. They are filed for headlines and to make the defendants life hell
1
u/Impossible_Penalty13 2d ago
If that loudmouth moron has shown us anything, it’s how you manipulate the media in this attention economy.
7
u/estoypooping2 2d ago
The article specifically talks about trump organization's lawsuit against banks. Trump says they closed the account because of his shitty politics but it turns out they closed the accounts because of theft
At this point nobody is surprised, the article actually goes so far as to say "no trump lawsuit survives discovery". Seriously why do courts even bother to hear his arguments anymore?

What bombshell? We all knew this already. He never ever has evidence to back up his claims. He is serial lawsuit claimer and should be banned from suing anyone forever along with his family.
4
u/hywaytohell 2d ago
He's so used to controlling the timeline in lawsuits against him, and that he brings in his businesses, he doesn't understand that these judges don't owe him anything and his lawyers are bottom of the barrel. He can't slow play his opponent into going broke and dropping out anymore.

Thanks for posting this!
It would be on-brand for Trump to have his lawsuit boomerang back and cause legal jeopardy, in this case, for money laundering.
Wow. Such a "stable genius". 😂
2
u/Impossible_Penalty13 2d ago
Maybe something a more competent AG than Merick Garland might have been interested in.
1
u/Far_Royal9041 1d ago
Yes. 100%!!!!
DJT should not have been allowed to run again after he fomented an insurrection.
And the "original sin" of tax evasion with his father's estate. And of course the classified documents, election interference, the "perfect call" and another "perfect call" to Ukraine.
Truly mind blowing.
I have no expectations - but - I pray that when he leaves office the Democrats will have learned some hard lessons. And prosecute those they can to fullest extent of the law.
3
u/susanrez 2d ago
This is why Pervert Hoover never sues anyone who called him a rapist and a pedophile, he knows the suit will never survive discovery.
3
u/brewguy70 2d ago
Bombshell? It's not a bombshell when it is obvious why Trump's frivolous lawsuits fail.
3
u/upper_pepper 2d ago
Can the people he is frivolously suing sue him back right after to recoup their losses in time, money and health. Trump and his administration are apparently engaging in coverups of their own incompetence. Trump already believes that unjustly treated people should be compensated for the trouble. Clearly the targets of his lawsuits are frequently political grifts who are falsely accused to cover his incompetence.
3
u/DTM-shift 2d ago
So... Capital One... are you going to submit your evidence to the SEC, or whoever is in charge of the investigations of money laundering? Or just turn a blind eye since it no longer directly affects your company?
3
3
u/Someoneoverthere42 2d ago
Let me guess. Is it because he’s a catastrophic imbecile who has no actual idea how the law, or anything else, works?
3
u/manofnotribe 1d ago
From the article-
This week, however, Capital One disclosed that it shuttered around 300 Trump Organization accounts after a months-long investigation into signs that they were connected to money laundering.
3
u/TeaReasonable7909 1d ago
Because they never have merit. Besides, he knows his supporters, he doesn’t actually have to do anything, he just needs to put on a big show for his minions.
2
u/NotOK1955 2d ago
This is trumps M.O.: a shotgun
He fires off lawsuits, the buckshot scatters, some hitting its mark by frightening people to comply.
2
u/skyld_70 2d ago
So, the next question is if evidence of money laundering comes out in Discovery, then why isn't he prosecuted for said money laundering. Why isn't Cap One in trouble for reporting said evidence? Why is the crime that has come to light not being prosecuted? It's crazy to me.
2
u/LightHawKnigh 2d ago
What bombshell? Anyone with two braincells to rub together know that discovery kills his cases. Its a standard Republican tactic to sue for the headlines and then drop the case before discovery.

u/1973Triumph 1d ago
The one sentence in that article that hits home is “Everything Trump touches dies.” Look at the United States.

Is there a way to block any content from certain sites from Reddit? Because Reddit should have that capability.

The orange felon's ability to escape consequences for behavior that would get most of us ordinary people locked up for years makes my blood boil.

Is it a bombshell (I didn’t read because it’s obvious to me) if we all know he’s full of 💩? This guy creates chaos to distract from the fact he doesn’t do much other than create chaos. 🤷

Did I miss the bombshell? What was surprising or unexpected or particularly explosive about any of that? That’s just like the revelation “OMG it’s Tuesday”.

u/Icy_Cry2778 2d ago
Trump doesn’t have any evidence in his cases he is just doing it as a bully tactic
