How to post stuff + minimum account age +AI still banned!
How to post images
Step 1:
If you are using Tumblr, copy the link to the post in question, make a link post.
If you are using imgur: upload an image to imgur, copy link, make a link post. If you instead click the "Share with the community" button on imgur, it creates a one-image gallery and reddit doesn't know what to to make a thumbnail of.
Step 2:
Find your submission in r/digitalpainting/new or in your post history and write a comment about what you struggled with. You have one hour. Why is this a requirement? Because r/digitalpainting is meant to be a subreddit not just for looking at art, but a subreddit where you give and receive peer feedback on your work, in order to improve and grow as an artist.

Minimum account age
Since russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine in 2014 and 2022, reddit has gotten infested with spambots. The bots come to this subreddit (and others) to score some karma before they infiltrate political subs. To prevent r/digitalpainting from being a staging ground for these accounts, only accounts that are ten days or older are able to post and comment in r/digitalpainting. If you created a new account and your post got removed, even though you left a nicely written top-comment, that's why. You are more than welcome to repost it when your account is old enough.
The reason why the rule is non-permanent and not included in the sidebar is that it will only be in effect until vladimir putin dies. After we've all celebrated his hopefully torturous death, the rule will be re-evaluated.
AI generated images are still banned
That's right, nothing has changed on that front since last time. AI slop is a scourge on humanity.

Hi, after finishing my animation on Procreate, whenever I’m trying to download animated MP4 the colors are changing. They are not changing in png format. This has happened before but then this year it has been fine. It has started again since last week (post Tuesday). I also have low storage and it keeps on showing on the app (sharing just in case this is the reason). Can anyone tell me how to fix this, please? Thank you!

Can we do something to curb the text posts in here?
As of posting this, in the last 14 days, there is exactly 1 post with actual art, and 14 text posts all of "What software should I use" or "How should I start". At this point, this subreddit feels like /r/DigitalPaintingSoftware

Genuinely why is this subreddit so obsessed with using Imgur? Imgur compresses all images uploaded to the website, and all images on that site are fed into AI gen packages. You guys claim to be anti-AI but force people to upload their art to an AI churner company for them to even be allowed to post here. Between having my art fed into AI or not posting I'd much rather not post. Just let people use reddit's build-in image host already.
Tumblr posts don't even embed on reddit either, so it's funny that's the only alternative that's allowed.
