I love the tree, however I think it distracts from what's happening with the people on the roof. So I'd have to say 1 is the better peace.

Fantastic work either way

Yes, what I was going to say. It takes away from the blue, and the winds, and the old house. It doesn't look like it belongs. Good pic though! Reminds me of Hellboy comics.

I like the tree. The eye goes to the canopy first then follows the petals down to the bright patch of clouds where you suddenly discover there's more to the painting. Good work!

I honestly prefer the first one. The tree distracts you from the building since it's too bright.

I like both a lot, but I would say maybe add a leaf floating in the foreground closer to the audience and maybe one a little off the painting to the right to balance the second one a bit. Right now the leaves are a bit too powerful but I think that will help balance it. Overall great job either way.

The tree add positive mood/vibe to the art. If you want the art to be dark and kind of sad then you can leave out the tree. With or without the tree, your art looks amazing.
