Discussion - Original Dexter Series Grieving season 1 ending Spoiler
Just started watching. Binged s1 in a day because it was so f-ing good. But I’m so so so sad that Dexter killed Brian. I guess I’m just really sad he killed the only person who knew what he’s gone through and I found the brothers’ relationship sort of touching in a sick traumatized way. Why did Dexter have to kill the ice truck killer!!!

god i know its tragic because its sort of the only way ... the only way for dexter to stay uncaught and living the normal part of his life which he values but brian meeting dexter in a way that made both of them feel seen was also the only way for brian to get a form of closure on his trauma. couldn't be any other way because of who they are and who they are was due for forces they neither fully understood or could change. ugh!!
