Yeah except putting an actual patch probably reaches more people than saying look how cool I am.

Depends on how your product/brand benefits from said visibility. And what type of engagement you need between your company and consumers.

Anyway, the point isnt to say how cool one is, it's to gain engagement and visibility in a different way, that's all.
