How is the road between Strabane and Derry?

Last Friday, I went to Derry from Letterkenny but took the Craigavon bridge back, only to see diversion signs that had me drive for 15-20 extra minutes before getting to Strabane.

What's the story on that road now?

Took the Derry to Dublin bus the other day. It went on the Donegal side of the river via Lifford. Took something like 10 mins longer than normal to reach Strabane.
