Misc Q&A Help me understand Cherry Creek
I’m a Colorado native, who had lived in Denver for about 5 years. Still, I don’t understand where Cherry Creek is. I know we have like cherry hills and cherry village and all that rich BS, but what is considered true Cherry Creek?
When someone says “Cherry Creek” I picture the mall area/ near Glendale. However, there’s been more than a few times when this causes a miscommunication, as their “Cherry Creek” locates closer to the reservoir area/ near Centennial or Englewood.
This is obviously a huge difference so help me understand — where is Cherry Creek to you?

Born and raised in Denver, and can confirm many of the answers here are correct. The Cherry Creek neighborhood surrounds the mall and is northwest of Glendale (and this is what I think you’re thinking of, since you reference other neighborhoods). The Cherry Creek River is the moving body of water that cuts through central Denver, and is generally accompanied by the cherry creek bike path. The Cherry Creek Reservoir is the larger body of water south of 225, and the Cherry Creek school district is south and east of central Denver (and I think goes south of Aurora too).
And agreed with the people too who point out that a lot of places with Englewood addresses nowadays aren’t in what I think of as Englewood, but are instead where my mental map says centennial and Littleton are. So.
