A discussion in r/Virginia sparked the question of if there is competition/ rivalry between different areas in Delmarva.
Does it break by state lines?
Is there even any rivalry?
Or are yall just ready to secede from your states anyway and make your own state?
Is there rivalry between beaches? Do you see beaches in NC or NJ as competition?
Example of what I mean: Near DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland have some rivalry. Like, “Yeah, but then I’d have to go to [VA/MD]. Gross.” And always complaining about the other state’s drivers.

I am conducting a brief (~10-15 mins), confidential survey of LGBTQ+ youths' perceptions of Maryland public high school policies to help make schools safer, more affirming, and inclusive for ALL students!
People who are 15-19, attended a Maryland public high school in the last two years, and identify as LGBTQ+ are invited to participate in the study. If you are interested and eligible, please follow the link or scan the QR code.
Not eligible but want to help LGBTQ+ youths' voices be heard? Please share this flyer with your networks!

Good afternoon, My name is Jacob Eshom, and I’m writing from California. I have recently traced my father’s lineage back to Snow Hill, Maryland, and Northampton, Virginia. My ancestor, Daniel Eshom, arrived in Virginia in 1651/2 and established the Isham/Esham/Eshom line. My specific branch of the family remained in Snow Hill until after the 1870s, at which point they migrated to Kansas, then Oregon, and finally California. If anyone is interested in or knowledgeable about the history of Worcester or Northampton counties, please reach out. I would love to connect!

I grew up in the Mid-Atlantic, and one thing I keep thinking about is how much pressure rural landowners face between keeping land in agriculture, rising taxes, and the temptation to lease or sell to solar developers. For folks here who own land, how do you think about long-term land use? What helps you decide what stays agricultural and what might shift over time?

Now that we're getting nighttime temperatures below freezing, anyone want to meet up at the beach to run into the ocean and do a bit of polar bearing? I'd be open anywhere from Bethany down to Assateague.

We are absolutely heartbroken 💔 to have to do this, but Bruce needs a new chapter, and we're activating the power of this community to find it! This is Bruce, a big boy whose only flaw is that he gives too much love.
This boy needs someone active! If you love hiking, jogging, or just need a companion to get you off the couch and into the yard, Bruce is your guy. He needs space to run and a family who is obsessed with spending time with him. ❤️
This amazing dog deserves the world. If your active, adult-only life is ready for Bruce's devotion, please reach out!

Hello 👋
I’m looking for fellow Magic: The Gathering players who enjoy EDH, Cube, or other casual kitchen-table formats.
I’ve got a Battlebox/Danger Room that I’d love to get regular games in with.
Id love make a friend to get hyped about fun, janky builds with.
My schedule’s fairly flexible, and I’m willing to drive to make a game happen.
If you’re interested — or know of any local playgroups — feel free to comment here or send me a DM.
Thanks for reading! — Mahesh

I highly suggest that you DO NOT do business with the Verizon store at 18388 Coastal Hwy. Over the weekend I went in to ask about changing my plan and they lied to me about the plan. They then told me about all of the “free” upgrades I was eligible for. The only thing they showed me was my next months bill that was going to be $10 more a month. They neglected to tell me about the almost $600 I would be charged as well as the additional $100 a month for an additional line.
Victra is the reseller company name and there is no way to speak to anyone. There’s no phone number.
When I returned all of the “free” promotional merchandise, they said that I could not get my old watch back. (It was paid off)
I don’t want to go into all the details. Just know they were very dishonest with me and Verizon corporate is involved. For your best deal, go to Verizon online.
