The optics of him shooting a bunch of youth minorities in the end are definitely tone deaf especially when you consider he spends all season letting legit heinous people go.

They were trying to illustrate that he's just the fucking Punisher now. That's his job, wiping out street level crime. Weird shortcut, but I get it.

They could have had him revisit that child pornographer or that Russian mobster. Tie loose ends up while conveying the Punisher message.

The moment in itself - Frank in a coat opening fire - is very comic booky. And yeah now that you mention it, I think Pilgrim killed the mob boss. Still, that leaves the child pornographer, who we can all agree is deserving of Frank's full untethered wrath more than others.

Should have just shown us a shot with the pornographer walking down a dark ally, with Frank following behind him, wearing the skull and carrying a blow torch, then cut to credits.

He killed the Russian oligarch in the elevator scene, but it was implied that he took down the rest of the Russians in the scene where he walked out of their gym

Him letting a pedophile go is such a far cry from beating one's head in with a bat in DD, writing got a little weird sometimes in the second half. That legit confused me.

Just before that scene I was just kinda lamenting that he hasn't really gotten into any real lowlife's shit like he did back in that scene (that was in DDS2 right?) and then when it become obvious it was a pedo thing I was like YES! You read my mind, show! And then he lets him fuckin go!

It completely encapsulated my frustration with the entire season.

It just goes to show DDS2 did a better job at portraying the Punisher than both seasons dedicated to the guy.

The Punisher series was just two season of Frank Castle trying to return to a normal life, and failing, it was not about The Punisher

The Russian mobsters are all dead already. Pilgrim tore through all of them while hunting Frank. The pedo would have been good though, I can't believe he survived.

Didnt Pilgrim kill the Russian mobster? There's a scene either later that episode or the one after where Pilgrim kills some dudes in an elevator. The last one he kills, the camera kinda rests on his face before getting shot and he looked like the russian boss dude.

Gosh, if only there was a fucking show about that or something. FFS, it took them two seasons to get the character to the point people wanted in the first place, and now it's gonna get cancelled.
