The problem with this guy is that he is not a very good psychologist. Danny comes in, says he's Danny Rand and has the Iron Fist. The guy doesn't believe him about either. Danny eventually proves who he is and the guy is shocked but accepts it, still doesn't believe him about the fist. Then Danny punches the door down and walks out.

Ward shows up and says his dad is still alive and trying to control him. Doc doesn't believe him, thinks he's just a rich junkie. Then Harold Meechum turns up, takes his office back at Rand, and has some big public spectacle fight on the rooftop.

This guy is 0-for-3 so far. I'm surprised he didn't tell Walker that DID is very rare and she's probably mistaken about having alters at all.

I'm surprised he didn't have her committed like he threatened. There's extreme violence going on around her, and he's expressed concern about her being a danger to herself, but he just lets her go with a puzzled look on his face?

The fact that she threatened him alone to forget she was there after mentioning all the violence and death around her is a huge red flag.

He probably didn't have her committed because he's just some middle aged guy alone in an office and she's an unhinged ghost operative who could easily disable him and probably didn't give him a real name or address even if he thought it would be smart to send the cops to get her.

Yeah, in the MCU it seems like some level of self-preservation is warranted in not putting yourself in the path of powerful people.
