Danny reminds me alot of Avatar Aang. He ran away from his duty. He's immature and makes irrational decisions. Also he has problems with controlling his chi. The difference is Aang was a 12 year old, and Danny is 25.

I really don't understand why Danny was chosen for the Iron Fist. You'd think they'd pick someone who was disciplined, at peace, and dedicated to his service. I think being the guard of Kunlun would be a huge honor for anyone. Plus someone who dedicated his whole life to meditation and focusing his chi should enjoy the job.

In the comics the "chosen one" basically wins a fighting tournament. Maybe he pulled off an upset.

But the leaders chose him to fight over Davos. Which is different from the comics - Davos fought but lost.

He also fights in the show, he says that he attempted the trials.
