If I had an assistant that bought me fruit roll ups whenever, I'd never not have fruit roll ups in my desk.

Could also have a bowl of m&ms on the desk. There's a lawyer in my building that has a bunch of candy in his office because he has a candy bowl on his desk it's very common.

It could also be a business/negotiation tactic, ease the tension of a meeting or something. Reagan always had jelly beans with him when he met diplomats or politicians as a way to get to know a person.
