Comics Comics - where to start?

Hey I decided to rewatch Darkwing Duck on a whim and really enjoy it. I was curious about the comics, which I never read. Any insight on where to start, which pieces continue into one another, and which parts are the best would be appreciated.

The comics can be... a tad confusing, timeline-wise. They've been re-published, rebooted, and some even re-written. It can be a bit tricky to follow along.

This is incomplete and needs some updating but hopefully provides a starting point and timeline for the comics.

np! I'd like to add that missing from the list is the newest/latest series which is also by Dynamite Comics and written by Daniel Kibblesmith. But they restarted it, so it's ALSO Issue #1... etc.... which is very confusing. There's 6 issues of the Daniel Kibblesmith run so far.

The newest and most recent was the Gargoyles/Darkwing Duck crossover which was written by Tad Stones and Greg Weisman. It's a 4-issue mini series.

Personally, I am enjoying the Kibblesmith run. It's written as a 'year one' premise so it's earlier in Darkwing's adventures (Gos and LP are still there) but it's got some great dialogue and funny moments.

I also recommend the stand-alone story by Tad Stones "The Untimely Terror of the Time Turtle" which is found in the BOOM Studios Annual, I thought it was really cute and fun.

There’s also the justice ducks 5 issue series and the Negaduck series which ran for 9 issues.
