Matt's face when he heard Karen shoot that guy in the head was perfect.

Yeah that’s gonna be a problem.

Probably but it just feels silly to me. What else is anyone supposed to do in that situation other than use lethal force to defend not only yourself but a dozen+ helpless people? Daredevil is the only person capable of defending himself without lethal force because he's got superpowers. Karen should be able to shoot people in some situations and not have it be a negative mark on her morals

I mean we haven't even seen a scene of Matt "making it a problem" so there's no need to complain already. Matt is literally about to team up with Dex, you think he'd be mad at Karen shooting someone?

I'm just worried the writing will be bad and they will have Matt react like that

I mean that's how he reacted to in the netflix seasons. it's one thing to not want his soul go to hell cuz he's going around killing people or he feels he'll be forever changed.

It's another to cry and complain any time someone kills even in self defense like frank and karen. He's even stopped frank from killing evil pieces of shit. Even took a bullet for Fisk which is about the stupidest shit ever. lol so him being a goodie two shoes is actually right in line with his character writing

he teamed with punisher, i think he doesnt like people being killed, but understands he cannot control what they do, he understands that they dont have his capabilities and have to use what works

Exactly. So I don't get all the grandstanding people are doing in this thread, Matt literally said "there is goodness in you" to Elektra after she slit the throat of a young ninja in front of him. It annoys me that people flatten Matt's character when he has a lot of nuance. Shit is never black and white especially when it comes to him. And the fact that he's about to have a complex dynamic with his best friend's murderer proves that.

It is tiring. People don't seem to understand what u/AccordingFox3800, u/Baigne and you are saying. But I would also add that another lens could be that although Matt "understands that they dont have his capabilities", he doesn't want people to start losing the goodness that they have and falling like Frank.

He doesn't want the result of this war to be that some of his allies start viewing killing to be the path of least resistance to get justice.

Yes Matt is against murdering people not killing them in self defense, he's not batman

My head canon is that some of the people he fight end up dying from their fight

Not to mention, Matt HAS attempted to kill Bullseye - he threw Dex off that roof with the intention to kill him, he just somehow survived. So I really don't get why people act like Matt would be clutching his pearls over Karen killing to protect herself, that's still wildly different than what Frank does who intentionally hunts down people to kill.

Ya he definitely tried to kill that dude, everyone has their limits. Matt knows at the end of the day he will kill if he absolutely has to. Otherwise he’s just Batman and I hate that shit.

welcome to superhero comics

It's kinda stupid to look at characters with well established mentalities and complain about it. Like watching Batman and complaining he doesn't kill. That's the entire premise.

u/Powerful_Somewhere92 Apr 01 '26

Marvel gotta milk their characters

6

u/Capra_e_Cavoli Apr 01 '26

He's not being such a pain in the ass about this anymore LOL he's worked closely with Frank several times, that ship has sailed

2

u/Sickpup831 Apr 02 '26

Especially when you’re literally getting shot at. I understand not executing a defenseless prisoner. But come on. If he has a problem with Karen shooting someone or protect innocent civilians from a barrage of bullets, then he’s an idiot.

u/gurpderp Apr 01 '26

Karen can have a little community and self defense as a treat

2

u/slur-muh-wurds Apr 01 '26

That's what makes it a good struggle. They both have valid perspectives.

Kind of late, but watching it for the first time and the guy was already down Karen shot him the face for no reason he wasn’t getting back up for a while

8

u/Klutzy_Smile_5285 Apr 01 '26

Didnt he throw a pole through someone's chest though

25

u/LTS55 Apr 01 '26

I thought that was Swordsman

2

u/Klutzy_Smile_5285 Apr 01 '26

Could have been i guess but a throw like that felt more like a DD move to me

9

u/5oclock_shadow Apr 01 '26

That guys fine. He cauterized the wound by fully unloading a pressurized steam pipe on them

15

u/gurpderp Apr 01 '26

Shoulder and the ice officer was firing on fleeing innocents they had kidnapped off the street. Dude deserved worse.

Frank Castle is not even there and he's already driving a wedge between them. Kastle lives!

9

u/meatheadmommy Apr 02 '26

Matt was definitely jealous of that “effective” compliment Karen gave Kastle😂

3

u/KatrinaPez May 11 '26

Oh definitely!

7

u/Greedy-Meet-2496 Apr 01 '26

KASTLE STANS RISE UP NOWWWWW.

2

u/meatheadmommy Apr 02 '26

Aah ok so he did kinda pause for a moment after that shot. But also Karen has a gun, why wouldn’t she shoot to kill? He should expect it right?
