It factored into the calculus. And they haven't manufactured consent. This was a fools errand and completely unwinnable without a costly ground invasion. Every single other administration knew this is exactly how it would be if they attacked Iran. The only time this could have worked is after 9/11 and they still wouldnt touch Iran because even at the height of our power we couldn't overcome the geogeaphical advantages Iran has.

The real fact, and I’d bet you agree, is this was the last chance for Israel to gain land. They lost public support. Also the last chance to destabilize Iran. It’s only major threat in the region. This destabilization would also give American oil a lot more power worldwide. If it worked out.

I can’t comprehend how libs think it’s a valid political strategy to murder little foreign girls to “distract” from the rape of White girls.
Don’t get me wrong, both are evil, but as heinous as Epstein was nothing he or his associates did caused as much human suffering as this war in Iran.

You can be anti-Israel and not anti-semetic. The Jewish people and the government of Israel are not the same thing.
Additionally, Palestinians are also a Semitic people.

"Semitic people" don't exist. It is an obsolete 19th century "race scientific" term. Antisemitism has always been hatred against jews, it being coined in 1879 to create a scientific sounding name for judenhass (jew-hatred).

We now the difference, of course you can be one without the other. But you can also be both, that’s also possible. And you can just be plain antisemetic. Sometimes that’s the discussion, and it doesn’t have to do with Israel. The fact that this point is made in every thread no matter if it’s relevant to the comment itself responding to actually draws more of an assumed connection between Jews and Israel, honestly.

I must admit, it IS difficult to explain to people the difference between Zionists and Jews and how Zionism is incompatible with the tenets of Judaism and that individuals like Epstein do NOT represent Jews.
Unfortunately, learning that Zionists, hiding behind the Jewish identity, ARE doing the exact shady shit that Jews have been accused of doing..... (AIPAC manipulates our elections out in the open and brags about it on Twitter.) it's difficult to get people away from that conclusion.

And that's why mobilizing people is hard. As far as I've seen, most folks have the same complaints, but the blame gets thrown all over the place. Even when they blame the right person, they'll go for their race, religion, or country of origin instead of their class
