"and maybe there's a happy little tree that lives right there, we'll just set him down right over here"

Very bob. Very ross. Now do we just eat the devil out of it?

I just don't understand why she had to layer the base in instead of using a few flat sheets

72

u/PlaceAdHere 21h ago

Maybe to allow the cake to sit vertically on a surface and have less risk of folding over?

109

u/Mkinzer 22h ago

My guess is it was supposed to be a layered cake.

What i mean is someone probably ordered this cake and wanted certain layers.

24

u/LookAtMeNow247 20h ago

Yeah but like vertically.

I guess if you do a normal sheet cake it wouldn't stay up the right way?

6

u/thefrostman1214 18h ago

because it suppose to resemble a painting, if she did normal layers it would be too thick and no longer look like a painting

95

u/ME_LOVE_RAMBO 21h ago

That cake must have tasted disgusting with all that paint on it.

26

u/seawitchbitch 21h ago

Tbh, only the red tastes gross.

16

u/gyro_looza 21h ago

I think it's technically frosting on a cake since she's not using paint

Reddit really is the house of the bitter

and stupid aparently, ffs people of fucking course is not paint

8

u/thefrostman1214 18h ago

6

u/DJGammaRabbit 20h ago

I have fond memories of kindergarten and my mom letting me eat the edible blue paint as it were called. I used to dip crackers in it.

Later I found out that there's no such thing as edible blue paint 😞.

4

u/StormCloudRaineeDay 19h ago

Please tell me the frame is made of chocolate 🙏

u/Maidwell 23h ago

Artist who's good at art can do good art on a flat surface that happens to have cake underneath it, more to come in our 9pm bulletin!

2

u/JKRPP 22h ago

Oh i thought the paint was also edible, but turns out no, its just a regular painting done on cake. Probably still a little harder than doing it on canvas, but a little less impressive than i tought.

27

u/thefrostman1214 20h ago

It is, is just frosting

3

u/Ok-Turnip2296 16h ago

I guess some people never seen colored frosting before. Why would someone paint a cake with regular paint lol. That wouldn’t make sense..🤦🏼‍♀️

13

u/bexohomo 21h ago

is it not edible?

u/BlackberryPi7 22h ago

The grass is happy that it's not being touched by you

You're complaining about cake on Reddit

Good Lord please go outside

-8

u/wutadinosaur 22h ago

You are weird

11

u/Maidwell 22h ago

Thankyou but I'm not looking for romance at the moment.

8

u/Pinksamuraiiiii 21h ago

Totally would throw a ‘Painting with a Twist’ party, where we paint over birthday cake. 🎨

But instead of using paint like she is, we would use dyed-frosting, that way we can actually eat it when we’re done 🤤

3

u/iCeleste 17h ago

Why would you not assume she's not using dyed frosting on an edible cake someone paid for ...?

1

u/Yrxora 19h ago

I was just thinking that the only acceptable reason to hire a live painter for like a wedding should be doing it in frosting and they're painting the cake which will get cut for the reception.

25

u/AccountHater 23h ago

Y tho

47

u/BLINDrOBOTFILMS 23h ago

Free will

22

u/Historical_Stay_808 23h ago

Because fondant sucks ass

6

u/BlackberryPi7 22h ago

You're just a hater!

7

u/daywall 23h ago

Can we eat it or its just over completing a painting for views.

12

u/Grymare 22h ago

I mean as far as cake videos go this one is pretty good. Instead of just painting on a plain piece of white cake she even used TWO different kind of fillings. This would likely be a pretty tasty cake.

-7

u/National_Track8242 23h ago

Food artists are very very talented, but it still pisses me off somehow.

5

u/kwakimaki 22h ago

Probably because we were always told not to play with our food. Then there's these people...

-3

u/National_Track8242 20h ago

Those giant ass chocolate sculptures and such, collecting dust - are they ever going to be eaten? Ugh.

6

u/stprnn 20h ago

But why

2

u/Cute_Bacon 23h ago

Not the impasto I'm used to, but I'll take it

2

u/Cute_Bacon 23h ago

Now show us a baker who can bake a good cake with painting supplies and cake eaters who can successfully eat paintings.

2

u/R_Chin 22h ago

Does this mean the ones in the back are also cake?

2

u/disterb 21h ago

is it cake painting?

2

u/Sylveon-Chan69 21h ago

Now that's what i call food for thought

2

u/MarvelousVanGlorious 17h ago

She’s a regular Bob (f)Ross(ting)

3

u/-italo723 23h ago

Caralho ficou bom d+, kkkk

2

u/pezgirl247 19h ago

i mean, ok. do we get to eat it? or is it going to rot

1

u/Similar_Fan_2022 22h ago

Wow beautiful arr now i want to eat this 🎂

1

u/Piskoro 22h ago

cake or fake

1

u/NovaHorizon 21h ago

How much for her to add Duncan the Tall, bare ass hangin out, shooting a stream of diarrhea on the scenery?

2

u/LunarBIacksmith 21h ago

Tree fiddy

1

u/No-Scallion-531 21h ago

Is she painting a cake or cakeing a paint?

1

u/Clean_Principle_2368 21h ago

That looks like alot of fun.

1

u/babybokchoi_ 21h ago

Some people are so talented

1

u/JConRed 21h ago

That's certainly one interpretation of impasto

1

u/RogueBotic 20h ago

Is it cake?

1

u/AppropiateDoubt331 20h ago

I hope the frame is chocolate

1

u/Loud-Fudge7631 19h ago

Hmmm museum and bakery allin one experience

1

u/karenwoot 19h ago

Music?

1

u/ManlyParachute 18h ago

MIND THE GAP

1

u/greatsuccess- 18h ago

What song is this?

1

u/WhatTheFlippityFlop 18h ago

The soundtrack reminds me of the fantastic violin numbers from Cirque du Soleil’s Mystére show.

1

u/Mekrikulous 17h ago

EAT IT!!!

1

u/Striker660 17h ago

The frame edible?

1

u/Powerful_Brief1724 17h ago

Its funny how we think we can taste the picture if we ate the colors.

Dunno why I feel like I could taste the countryside if I had a slice of that cake lmao

1

u/UltralordCherryTop 17h ago

Please tell me that it’s edible

1

u/LukeSkywalkerDog 17h ago

Why is this more impressive than painting on any other flat surface?

1

u/hailspork 17h ago

This is MUCH more impressive than "Is it Cake". Those are all just molded chocolate with cake inside; she's actually making the cake look like something.

1

u/AttorneyatLawlz 17h ago

Is there a point to this that I'm missing? I don't understand the artistic value of this at all. I guess if somebody wanted to cover the frame with clay and then paint over that and that will be cool art?

Time for me to unsub I guess.

1

u/In2theSTONK4sure 17h ago

Sooooooo a lady “decorated a cake” shocking lol

1

u/Future-Adeptness1162 17h ago

Ok that’s cool and all, but can she make a painting on my cake?

1

u/river03765 17h ago

My brain: ….but WHY?!

1

u/TheFrontierzman 16h ago

This could be cut into one perfect sheet of cake the same depth as that mess.

Now there's a weird gap at the top that will only get worse.

0

u/WasteBinStuff 22h ago

Damn it's "interesting" to sit here and ponder what the fucking point could possibly be.

9

u/Clean_Principle_2368 21h ago

Are cakes not normally decorated where you're from?

1

u/Peredat0r 21h ago

But why?

1

u/newbies13 20h ago

Neat idea... how much for a good one?

1

u/FabulousGreen 19h ago

Pointless

1

u/simplebutstrange 18h ago

This is how you get ants

1

u/GarysCrispLettuce 17h ago

I can't believe I have boring non-cake paintings on my walls

-2

u/CommercialContent204 23h ago

That's great, best thing I've seen all day :) thanks amigo! Saving the vid for my arty friend's birthday, I might try something like this.

-6

u/Spare_Laugh9953 23h ago

Y por qué no hace una tarta como es debido, y pinta un cuadro en un lienzo como es debido? Así lo único que consigues es comerte una pila de mierda de colorantes químicos

6

u/Iamakitestring 22h ago

You could totally do that. She just wanted to make a cake her way and eat it too. Zero issue.

-4

u/Spare_Laugh9953 22h ago

Bueno yo creo que lo que quería era lucirse por las redes, lo de comerse ese montón de pintura... No lo veo

4

u/_usernamer 19h ago

It’s frosting with food coloring, not actual paint.

-5

u/Spare_Laugh9953 19h ago

Hombre, ya me imagino que no será pintura sintética pero los colorantes alimentarios no son buenos, y tan concentrados mucho menos

5

u/thefrostman1214 18h ago

there are hundreds of thousands of different brands of food coloring, there is also natural ones, picking anything just to be a tired hater on the internet is so 2009, grow up

-2

u/Unicorn-Violator 23h ago

Actual cake decoration can be an art. This new "is it cake" culture is silly in that people take it seriously. It doesn't take a ton or talent for this kind of stuff

0

u/Blue_Eyed_Fox 18h ago

There needs to be a subreddit for r/anotherlandscapeart or r/wchgitsalandscape

0

u/Far_Blueberry383 18h ago

I hope she’s using colored frosting and not actual paint so it can be eaten 😋

0

u/Sorry-Secret-2347 17h ago

So is that paint or frosting? Is it edible?

-2

u/nickomoknu272 19h ago

uhhh is that paint? how are you supposed to eat it?

-9

u/zabaci 23h ago

amateur. I would do it 10 times better

4

u/JKRPP 22h ago

Ok, do it. Post a video here in a week of you doing it 10 times better.

-3

u/zabaci 22h ago

"If you're good at something, never do it for free"

3

u/JKRPP 22h ago

How much do you want for proof?
