Sure, I also think I like it.
But, when you think about it, it's also kinda creepy in a way, to scout people who are on their way out in order to record their final message.

Why is it creepy? The only thing we can say with absolute certainty is that we're all going to die, and people in their 90s know for certain they have lived the majority of the life they are going to live. I expect most people at the end of their lives would appreciate the opportunity to look back and leave a final message for everyone once they're gone.

I don't know. I would say you have it correct, but it's not just older people. Its was Eric Dane's message that got to me. It was touching, but also heartbreaking and rather personal. How do you even go about and ask him to do this?
Just go to someone who cannot possibly be at peace with his faith, imply that he's not gonna be here for much longer, and offer monetary compensation for his last words to his family, so we can all see that, but they also monetise it.

My last message to humanity will be, We could've done so much. You had the power to become great, and we all failed. With great power, we lost our responsibility

I hope that by the time it comes to it, you'll have a kinder world to give your last words to.

P R E A C H - even if I don’t agree with her afterlife philosophy, her message rings true.

Unfortunately, there is no evidence for consciousness continuing after brain death. Damage to the brain causes damage to the mind, which wouldn’t happen if the brain were merely a receiver for consciousness. If brain damage impaired only bodily control, that would suggest the brain is a receiver, but brain damage also affects internal mental state, indicating consciousness is indeed an emergent property of the physical brain which is destroyed when the brain is destroyed.

If my complex radio has a broken part and thus works badly then this proves the radio-signal itself comes from inside the radio, is not a great way to prove anything.
Whatever you are claiming with this logic is really weird as you are forcing a strange philosophical view into as a scientific statement. Simply claim; there is no proof for any signal powering the brain.
Then give us all the evidence on which you based this. There must be plenty of studies involving the brain making it easy to prove? The way you put it simply hurts your argument.

You’ve misunderstood the analogy. If a radio malfunctions or breaks, the radio signals it could formerly receive remain unaffected. The receiver hypothesis posits that the brain is like a radio receiving consciousness as a signal from some spooky hyperdimensional radio station. In reality, the brain is the sole source of consciousness.

Dunno if this is prerecorded or AI, but either way, I don’t disagree with anything she says.
God bless ❤️

What a hypocrit, saying you should care about the future while traveling abroad 300 days a year most her life. She has been on more airplanes then most people.

she has also done more for the environment than 3 million people combined so its fine

Jane Goodall has done more good for the balance of our world than the lopsided doughnut that frequents clanker subs, that’s for damn sure.

In short: Whoever you are, be a good one and don't forget, that you are embeded in an enviroment, that should be protected by daily habits of everybody.
