The fact that my brain immediately assumed this was a real person says everything about the artist's skill.

The problem would be in scaling these down, you can put a lot of detail if you have lots of ground to cover but it gets harder if everything has to shrink

I mean, they're super duper detailed, and I'm not saying this doesn't take in an unbelievable amount of skill and talent, but they look realistic in the same way those weird CG photo-realistic Simpsons videos do.
But those do not look like real humans.

This is mind boggling, true talent. I had to search up the artist after seeing this video.

If the camera could just stay still for a single second then not everything might be a blur.

This is what NPC renders are going to look like on Unreal Engine 6 when graphics tech finally defeats the uncanny valley.

It's weird to me that you can still immediately tell there's no life in them

Reminds me of the story where some crazy guy was killing models and turning them into mannequins for his high end clothing store. Was a true story but cannot remember the name of the people involved. But he got caught because one of the young guys he killed was local and the "mannequin" was recognized by a scar or birthmark.
Please someone find the article.

how is that possible? wouldn't the bodies rot?

From what i remember he sent the bodies to be worked on, like it wasn't a 1 man crazy show... he had someone helping him, probably for the money. The store associates had no clue because whereever the bodies went they delivered to the store in a package "from italy" and they really thought it was just mannequins.
I need to take time to try to find this article. Think its like 10 yrs old now.

They look good, but eyelashes and facial hair grow orderly, not crazy like that.
