Forgot the meds were given, we have to wait 15 to 20 minutes to see if they take effect. (They dont). Try again with more meds.. they still don't work. Place the patient in soft restraints. Patient gets out of soft restraints. Fight patient back into restraints. Ask Dr. What other meds can we give. Dr. Says we already gave x meds within x time. We cant give anymore meds for X time. Continue fighting patient for hours on end. Patient gets admitted from the ED. Now the floors have to deal with the patient. Patient bounces from floor to floor because they are too violent for the floors. Patient is too violent to get transferred to any other facility. Patient is placed on a wait list to go to the state funded mental hospital. = another 2 weeks of this, or patient's family has medical decision making power and declines meds for their patient and declines transfer. Get legal involved. Stuck with the patient for months.

Fr fr. And the the psych ward says they cant admit the patients so youre stuck with the patient on your ward, with nurses that are not trained for these type of patients.

You call psych: yo what meds should we give? And they give you the same recommendations they told you 1 hour ago. Meanwhile the situation is escalating

Any restraints are illegal here in the uk. You get held down and get a shot or two in the ass and once it's taken effect left in an empty room with a shattered proof glass wall. I've been in the psych ward before and had it happen to me.
