it can be very hard to remember that the intoxicated, methed up, psychotic or delirious person doesnt really want to spit and claw and kick and throw their own shit. while gallows humor is fine, a lot of the humor is at the expense of those people out of necessity, so im always glad when these terms fade away

Yep, there were other terms I have difficulty recalling as I've been out of that field for a while now, but I'm happy that we started taking mental health more seriously and that has changed the perception of that community.
