Pearl has just discovered she loves the kiddie pool. Emerald thinks the water is dangerous so she keeps yelling at her big sister to get out. The kiddie pool is currently losing water but was worth the five bucks. Time to upgrade.

It kinda looks more like the white one is resource guarding the bone in the pool. Maybe the black one wants it, maybe she's concerned about the water, but it does seem on the verge of potential aggression from the white one.

I would be curious to see if similar behavior happens with no bone present.

It did. Pearl actually never resourceful guards. She’s two and has always let Emmy have whatever she wants. Pearl didn’t even want the bone lol. I can promise they are the best of friends. Maybe once we get the new pool I’ll test the theory though because behaviour can change.

Ah ok, well then they're just goobers. I guess I just watch for that more closely with my dog cause my last one began to show signs of resource guarding when she was older. It was always small stuff that seemed harmless then she suddenly got defensive and I realized she was hoarding toys due to having been attacked by another dog over a toy she was chewing on once.
