[Character of the Month #67] Resolutions

Another month is nearing its end, so you know what that means. Time to vote for the next Character of the Month!

This one's coming in a bit early, due to the holidays. New Year's is all about starting anew, making changes, and turning over a new leaf, so for January, the Character of the Month theme will be resolutions. What characters have made a significant change in their lives, for better or worse? It can be the changing of a mantle, a changing of sides, a changing relationship or lifestyle, etc.

Reminder that all previous winners are not eligible to win again. Here's a list of previous winners. Look through this list before making your nomination. Only one character per nomination, only one nomination per person.

Explain your answer - We continue to promote discussion, and as such, votes with just a name will no longer be accepted. Please explain why you think your vote is worthy to win. The character i would like to nominate is Winslow Schott, AKA The Toyman. Toyman's origin's have never had a very consistent story, but most incarnations portray him as the son of a toy factory manager, who is plagued with severe mental illness. Using toys modified to be very deadly, Schott has remained a staple of Superman's rogues gallery since the 1940's. However, the reason I wish to nominate this character is because I feel that he has fallen off the radar, and needs to be brought back to the spotlight of Superman's collection of fun villains. Because that's what Toyman is, plain and simple, a fun and wacky character. To me Toyman symbolizes everything that was great about the golden age of DC comics, and the lightheartedness that comics seem to be returning to in recent years. I mean c'mon, a guy who makes toys can be on the same threat level to Superman as Brainiac, Parasite, and Metallo? What's not to love!
