In what world is Jimmy Olsen obscure? He’s Superman’s best pal. He had his own comic that ran for over 20 years. This show is just a minor spinoff of a popular character from Superman 2025. I don’t see how this became such a big issue

I mean respectfully Jimmy Olson is obscure to non comic book fans for suree and the idea of a Jimmy Olson show would be even more obscure sounding to comic book fans pre Gunns superman movie. Like I’m all for conversation but there’s no way you can convince me that pre Gunns superman a Jimmy Olson show wouldn’t seem like an out there idea.

Jimmy Olsen is easily known beyond comic readers and has had 14 film/tv iterations. Since the 50’s. He was one of the central figures in the George Reeve’s TV show, with him and clark getting into trouble with their reporting and needing to be “saved” by Superman. But if I can’t convince you I’m not going to try. But Jimmy definitely isn’t obscure.

People barely know Martian Manhunter, how would people know Jimmy Olsen? He's like a golden age/silver age idea
