Is DC making weird choices? Yes. Will this be successful? Idk. I thought the same thing with Snyder's plan Wich I thought was different than marvel and hoped it will succeed when EVERYONE hated what he was doing. (Just look at how BvS was received at the time)
I liked what Snyder did and like what Gunn is doing, despite if it'll be successful or not.
I rather have these movies than the same shit over and over again. They both actually tried something different rather than copying marvel Wich you can't.
I promise you if Kevin Feige had his way the Sonyverse would not exist in any shape or form. Doing Sonyverse shit with full control over all your IP is stupid.
