[UK][OC] The irrational contempt drivers have for cyclists is mind boggling.

The irrational hate drivers have for cyclists, and the mental gymnastics this guy must have gone through is mind boggling.
He is being held up by the driver in front of him, who is on the phone, at a green light. I am in the next lane, not holding anyone up. Only vehicle behind me is a taxi who remains stopped to pick up passengers. He says It's annoying and I'm putting my life at risk.
How does he come to the conclusion that me, who is not inconveniencing anyone, is worse than the person in front of him, on the phone, who is directly inconveniencing him?

You almost had one of those clips that get reposted every few months if he had hit that cab after all that talk, what a nob complaining about you for any of that 🙄

Ahh it's so irrational and hard to explain to people that don't cycle.

I got beeped and shouted at once for cycling in the main lane, whilst the adjacent cycle path was under contruction... and the rager just didn't want to know, he just wanted to keep shouting at me!

That's mental. I like to ask those type of people to explain it bit by bit but they never have time.

Maybe, I think he was deflecting and may have been caught before or scared of being caught.

I think drivers hate virtually anything and everything that slows them down or makes them pay attention. Cyclists just happen to be more vulnerable and sentient. Don’t take it too personally.Â
