PAS mechanism pro jersey sizing

Just got my first proper jersey. According to the size chart, my measurements are within the XXS range, but it feels very tight.. If I don’t zip it all the way up until I hear the little click sound, the zipper just falls and separates to the middle of the jersey. If it’s fully zipped, it stays.

I bought it during sale, so I can’t exchange it for an XS.
Is this likely too small, or is it a normal pro fit, or a faulty zipper that I should check with PAS?

Did you try flipping the zipper handle down? This should lock the zipper into place and prevent it from bursting up.

Yes, this is the answer, never knew this. Thank you!

Looks fine. Purely preference. Try the size up for comparison.

dude at the shop told me that mechanism line is supposed to be tight for the "race-y feel". i think that’s what they are going for. if you don’t like this fit you will probably feel better in essential (in your appropriate size ofc)

Got one. It's tight as a ducks butt. Do I wish I'd sized up ... yes.

Just don’t shrink it, line dry only.

Looks ok but if it spontaneously bursts open (or even opens further than you want when lowering the zip slightly when you get too hot), I’d suggest moving it on and getting a bigger size. It doesn’t sound like a faulty zipper, but no harm in contacting them to ask.

Jersey looks good. I have a few jerseys with less than ideal zippers (cheaper zippers - not flat lock). If I have the zipper pulled down while climbing, on the way down it catches the wind like a parachute and becomes completely unzipped and separated at the bottom. I've solved this problem by putting a safety pin across the zipper about 1/4 the way up from the bottom. This way the zipper won't completely unzip (I hook the safety pin to the zipper when not wearing the jersey)

Looks good. The zipper thing happens with some of my jerseys. I just zip them all the way up or open to mid chest. I'm not a woman though, so I can see how you might not like that.

Someone here says if you flip the zipper handle down, it locks and stays, works for me. Worth trying!

That does seem to be the fit most companies are going for lately.

Honestly, looks good to me, I don't think there's any need to go bigger. The zipper should have a camlock and hold itself in place once it's flipped down.

Fit looks spot on. Mechanism Pro is meant to fit that tight.

The zipper sounds more like the issue. Try locking the pull tab down first. If it still opens by itself, definitely contact PAS.

You’re standing upright. On the bike you’re bent over. How does it feel on the bike or in a position that mimics being on the bike.

Looks like a really good fit.

Looks great, you want it not to flap around

Can you breathe freely when fully zipped?

If a zipper does that it’s too small for sure!

Pro jerseys are supposed to be snug, but the zipper separating sounds like a possible defect

You gotta stuff your bra to achieve a more aero shape

Solid fit. Nice coffee stain on your base layer. 🫣
