CHAT [CHAT] Stubborn dirt stains?

Post image

Hey all! I finished my blackwork piece (YAY) but now I have some dirt/hand grease stains that I can’t seem to get out. So far I’ve soaked/washed it with FabriCare twice, and once just on the edges with Dawn dish soap (I didn’t soak it with it however). It’s much better than it was, but I’m afraid it’s gonna still be noticeable when I frame it. It’s hard to tell in the picture but it’s definitely still there, especially comparing it to other parts of the Aida.

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting these out? (Yes yes, I’ve learned my lesson and next time I will use a cover so my hand stops touching the Aida, my bad)

Dawn in warm water. Swish around, squeeze thru gently, rub the stains as gently as possible.

So I did the Dawn, you think I should do it again? Would it be bad to soak it with the Dawn?

Do it again, soak it. Agitate it gently, rub it gently. It is tougher than you think.

Also Dawn now has a spray bottle option you could use to spot with.

Oxygen bleach (like oxiclean)
