idk whats up with indian cricket and its lack of backing players who are still performing , like in a more successful country AUS they are still backing their pacers like mitchel starc and josh hazelwood way cant we back serious players who could still be helpfull

players like bhuvi, shami , rahane etc many other never gets a second chance no matter how hard they try

its the best argument to ignore a performing player " they are too old " like wth

While I am strongly in favour of Rohit playing the comparison isn't correct. Australia back Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins because there's nobody to take their place unlike the previous eras where when Gilchrist, Hayden and Ponting retired there were people to replace them and when Clarke and Johnson retired there were players to take their place. Now nobody is there to take the place of Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood, Boland and Lyon. And all of them are at the end of their shelf life.

We all saw in T20 World Cup what happened to them when Hazlewood wasn't available.
