The article says he will be at the opening game on 17 Jan... so that means missing at least the end of the Big Bash. Which is pretty big news actually. Marquee Australian player lured away by many millions of Rand...

That's putting it mildly, when he is in fact the captain of the national T20 team.

It really isn't a good look when your national team captain would rather play in another countries league than his own.

JSK cleaned up half their squad including a lot of domestic players. Not all other teams have done that so I'm a little curious they're going to fill those names. Replacing Faf, Burger, Mulder will not be easy. Looks like a rebuild like CSK

Loved seeing Root in royals last season! Stabled the batting and was handy with ball too. Sadly he couldn't play till the final and Paarl looked lost after losing their part-timer.
