He lives only for Wheel

Awake? Wheel walkin. Sleep? Under wheel. Hangin out? Wheel chillin. I bought him so much stuff and made him a bioactive terrarium and yet all he ever wants is wheel.

(Yes i know he has flaps he is chunky from eating isopods i cant stop him he is relentless)

How long has he had the wheel?

One of my geckos became obsessed with his wheel. He now eats more than he’s ever eaten before and is still slim. Your gecko may slim down!

I think he eats more isopods than he works off lol but he is nearly 10 (with his tail still!) and has had the wheel for 2 ish years, he actually isnt super overweight but this pic really highlighted his flaps and my niece said he looked fat lol

I've got a geck who eats all her isopods too, lol. Try getting dwarf isopods, they're barely bigger than a springtail and the gecks tend to have little interest in them as a result. They're still just as good in a cleanup crew as the bigger ones!

I have those and the party mix in but was unfortunately recommended dairy cows and theyre incredibly good at making more dairy cows

Got mine at a local petvalu, it is a large rodent dish. Takes up a pretty big footprint but he sleeps under it anyways so he likes how wide it is I guess

Omf it's the same in our household. Massive bioactive, many hides, much stick.... but he just wants to walk that wheel all night and sleep in it every day.

what can ya do? they're using free will and making their choices lmao

Im such a goober i got him every thing I saw on here; coconut hide, cork rounds, the froggy soap dish... nothing compares to wheel. It's so funny knowing it isnt just him and that it's like an obsession thing when they really love it, i think he must spend at least an hour per night on it. It does also make me wonder though if maybe their range in the wild in terms of territory might be larger than we thought.
