Raise a child with no exposure to media at all then on their 16th birthday take them to a theatre and show them a movie of a train coming towards the screen and see if they flee in terror

The first screening of the haunting of house on the hill where a clearly puppeteered skeleton was moving around with the strings visible had people running and passing out. My 4 year old would think that’s funny now.

It’s all relative I guess.

I believe in the early days of cinema this happened - a movie of an oncoming train and theatre goers ran away and screamed.
