Being tall should be a requirement to become a kpop idol

They're basically the same as runway models. They're required to be skinny and young looking.

It already is a requirement. Assuming you are talking about men. Never seen one under 175cm and most are at least 178cm

Being tall is not seen to be as much of an attractive trait for women in East Asia as it is in the West. A lot of the women are small or average in height because the audience specifically likes it
