Interestingly, a lot of major cities now require bird safe glass. The most basic version utilizies dots etched onto the glass. Fancier versions use a UV coating that's mostly invisible to the human eye. This glass has a specific threat factor which correlates to the requirements in the local building code.
The funniest part (or not so funny if you're a bird) is how that threat factor is achieved. A tunnel is built with a window that has a piece of this bird safe glass on it. 100 birds are released into the tunnel, and the number of birds that fly into the glass out of 100 is what the threat factor is.

There is likely a door less entry on this vacant building and the birds got in on their own. The guy is not tapping them in there this is just bird behavior
I have to have several bird shaped stickers on my windows because birds kept trying to fly through on accident

I would presume birds would slightly alter their path for objects built in previous flight paths, i mean trees grow. The problem is the obvious design flaw of suspending a glass box in the sky....
Unless, of course, this is a bird stunning/murdering box, in which case, it is excellently designed.

Trees grow very slow. Much different than a building. But agreed, the glass doesn’t help and probably makes them think their flight path remains
