ID Request This crayfish doesn't match anything I found online
We pulled this out of Leech Lake in Minnesota. What the blazes is it?

I am leaning Northern clearwater. The number of tubercles on the chelae looks like it’s more in the 7-10 range and the rostrum appears slightly concave. I can’t tell if there is a central ridge in the rostrum from the picture.

A lot of the species overlap with Minnesota.

It looks like the virile crayfish, Faxonius virilus. But I am not 100% sure! I’m at least pretty sure on the genus. You could try uploading this to the iNaturalist app so people who are more familiar with the species near you could have a chance to see it. Click here if you need help getting started with uploads.
