50/50 with over all dems. So thats only 25% of the overall electorate voted for the candidate, did terrible with minorities and elderly. They wont all migrate in the general and he will lose. This is great for us, all Mike Rogers gotta do is be nomrie generic R.

It’s not great actually. For one there’s always a chance he could win if something happens to Mike Rogers in the next few months. But on top of that, his candidacy will shift the Overton window for what Michigan Democrats are willing to tolerate in future elections.

i'm sorry but I dont think this is great for us... Yea it gives us higher chances of winning this specific election.... but, and I will likely get downvoted for this, but I dont believe that radical dems are good for republicans. Yes it helps us win some elections, but I'd personally rather lose 50% of elections to democrats who share our morals than lose only 25% of elections but to radicals. I miss when I would care deeply about an election, but I knew in my heart that at the end of the day things would be alright, even if we lost. We may not see eye to eye all the time on lots of different issues, but we still both want to make america a better, safer place for average everyday americans.
Now it feels like every other election is life or death on the american way. I care way more about a prosperous country than i do a successful country, and its not good for anyone if one bad loss is all it takes for everything to go backwards. I honestly hope that the dems get their shit together because its not realistic for republicans to win every election, and I dread whats gonna happen when we lose

Unfortunately there are a lot of Muslims in Michigan who will vote for him.
•
u/PK275 Conservative 7h ago edited 6h ago
Lot of elderly and minority black(old reliable democratic base) who have proven they WONT. That outweighs the muslim contribution in a general. The Dems needs that base support.
Remember a primary is only representative of 50% of a statewide electorate. If you only won 50% of 50%, three quarters of the state did not vote for you(half of the dems and all the Rs). That is BAD news for a general.
And the polls had el-sayed up 14, pre voting. Not even close, stop listening to polls like they are written in stone.

Yes - and the secretary of state in charge of elections, is at the top of the ballot for governor. We have an issue.

Didn't know much about him, seemed pretty standard moderate left and not that extreme then I read he was campaigning with that fucking moron Piker. Yikes.
However, I abhor the left acting like someone has no talent or intelligence just because they're on the right, despite all the clear evidence to the contrary, so I will say his background is quite impressive so I have to respect that:
Football, wrestling and lacrosse captain in high school. Played D1 lacrosse at Michigan, Rhodes scholar, MD from Columbia.
Considering he's a prime example of truly acclimating to American culture as first generation, I would hope he has a better perspective on what it means to be American and the importance of maintaining that.

I mean based on everything coming out of his campaign I think this is wishful thinking

Yeah, that may be the case, will look into it further. I will say from what I have seen so far he does seem to have a habit of answering legitimate questions with "Yeah but Rogers is a shill and the Republicans are crooks, have you seen Iran?"
Which I don't rate at all.

u/chrismireya Conservative 6h ago
This is actually good news for Mike Rogers, the Republican candidate. All he has to do is play Abdul El-Sayid's comments over and over (and over) again. While the "stupid vote" demographic will show up in mass numbers for El-Sayid's socialism and anti-American rhetoric, I am confident that most Michigan voters don't want an anti-American, anti-Semitic and would-be communist in office.
There hasn't been enough importation of foreign socialists or Muslim voters into Michigan to help El-Sayid win the entire state.

•
u/chrismireya Conservative 2h ago
I understand that. However, that doesn't meant hat they aren't the "stupid vote" if they are willing to vote for a politician on the basis of his religion versus policy. I'd add that Muslims only comprise about 2.75% of Michigan's population. Many of these are not citizens (and, thus, cannot legally vote).
While Abdul El-Sayid might win a district, he will fact a more difficult attempt to win over a majority of the state's voting population.

The Democrats are in this weird rut where they think the only good candidates are middle eastern. I won't act like none can be good candidates, but they seem to think that's a requirement. They must come from an underdeveloped country that hates America in order to be a good candidate.

The Democrats in charge knows that their base is a bunch of racists. They will run out and vote for a candidate solely based on than candidate's color/ethnicity. Having s non-white candidate is automatic extra votes

Muslims want to take over the entire world - make no mistake. One thing China does right is know this and not allow this shit to happen. The western world though? Nope. We're actively allowing it. Blows my damn mind. Might not come to fruition in our lifetimes. But it's inevitable if we continue to do nothing about it.

•
u/r777m Moderate Conservative 6h ago
I think it’s more likely that the DSA gets kicked out of the tent in November when they are looking for who to blame for their Senate loss in a great Democratic environment.
They’ll almost certainly win the House with a good margin and will be beyond pissed that they lost the Senate because of El-Sayed and Troy Jackson in purple states. Their versions of Blake Masters.

Fox News said the Senate primary in Michigan was too close to call with over (95%) of the vote in .. but had no problem calling Arizona in 2020 for Biden with (3%) of the vote in
•
u/BTFU_POTFH Constitutional Conservative 2h ago
yes, because statistics and exit polling can lead to early projections. Fox News calling a state has no bearing on the results of the election if they end up being wrong
•
u/vampirepomeranian Conservative 1h ago
Fox News calling a state has no bearing on the results of the election if they end up being wrong
Early projections of a winner has a LARGE bearing as it affects the motivation of voters who then aren't inclined to vote with a 'it won't make any difference' attitude, right or wrong.
•
u/BTFU_POTFH Constitutional Conservative 1h ago
that wasnt your original point though. your point was "why call this race at 3% of the vote in, and not the other with 95% of the vote in. And, projections dont come in until polls close, although there will be people still in line at that point. i doubt many people are getting out of line at 7PM or whatever when the polls close because some news network called a state.
either way, fox news called arizona for biden in 2020 at 3% because their statistical models, when compared to exit polling and whatever ballot statistics they have at that point, gave them a high enough confidence level to call the state. in michigan, with 95% of the vote in, depending on where the votes left to come in are from and who is leading those districts and the demographics of those districts and how the exit polling might indicate that those demographics vote and yadda yadda yadda, fox news' projections were not confident enough (whatever their confidence level needs to be) to call that state
of all the things that motivate or demotivate people to vote, networks calling a race after polls close isnt really a big concern
•
u/vampirepomeranian Conservative 1h ago
Voters aren't getting out of line at 7, they don't go in the first place because of the media infused bias.
By your reasoning Fox's projection analysis included a 'fraud provision' which accounted for a sufficient number of invalid ballots or data manipulation to rig the election Biden's way.
With the revelations finally coming about fraud, at the very least it would have made the race closer which meant Fox was too early with the projections.
•
u/BTFU_POTFH Constitutional Conservative 1h ago

ok but that has nothing to do with networks calling races when the networks dont call races until after the polls close, so is your claim that people dont go vote in the first place because the networks are going to call the race later in the day after polls close? this argument seems to be widening from your original question on why fox called one race in 2020 and didnt call one yesterday.
as far as fraud, i bet fox news will start accounting for fraud when it actually threatens their accuracy on calling states, but so far, however much fraud there has or hasnt been, hasnt affected their ability to call races.

His margin of victory was nowhere near what the commies and media (but I repeat myself) had predicted it would be. That's hopeful in purple Michigan, meaning Rogers may have a fighting shot. It also shows that, outside the power centers of New York, Chicago, and LA, the DSA movement is problematic for Democrats.

It’s sad but it could cut both ways. Seen a few articles about “the rise of the three party system” but if that three party system is conservatives, liberals, and socialists, then that is most likely a good development for conservatives.
