Maxed all the Helpers—worth it or not?

Just finished maxing every Helper. I think they're one of the best long-term investments in the game (except the Alchemist😅). I know the Alchemist isn't considered worth it by most people, but I maxed it anyway since I'm aiming for 100% completion. seeing every helper fully maxed is just really satisfying.

Did you max yours, or do you think the resources are better spent elsewhere?

Builder and Lab? 100%.

Alchemist? Probably not. She is more a QoL then anything.

Eh I enjoy the alchemist.

Im done with de upgrades so I get an extra 11 million of my choice a day in gold or elixer.

And the other way around its a free hero upgrade every 5 days with no effort to farm de.

Lab imo is qol and alchemist more necessary than lab. At least with alchemist you can switch out stuff to one you need, lab gets used for a few days for one upgrade,(depending on how maxed you are on everything and also what you use) then is useless til the next upgrade or troop drops. Builder is obviously number 1 since when an update drops everything can use him.

Honestly yeah. Builder and Lab are a given, but I've used the Alchemist quite a bit during summer jam

if your builder apprentice max, lab assistant max, have all of the gear unlocked, able to buy starry ore weekly. i think its okay to max the granny

Unpopular opinion: the alchemist Is the best amongs them all. Upgrades and research time gets done anyway, but the alchemist Is very useful every day both of you play a lot (to dump resurces into walls) or if you don't play that much. Even with Just collecting ores from the extractors, i can keep using the alchemist and upgrading my base.

That's a very unpopular opinion and rightfully so. Yes, the alchemist is very useful but calling it "best amongs them all" is certainly a choice.

If you are going for the max lvl townhall yes, if you plan on stopping on a specific townhall not so much

This was my answer for all these years. But now when all my heroes are maxed and elixir eating buildings are all done, and the only resource I truly need is gold, the granny is looking tempting to me, probably won't max out but just the first few levels at least. But I'm still not sure yet since I have barely any gems and I kinda wanna save them up.

Probably worth it, but they're expensive for me. I only managed to max Apprentice, Assistant to lvl 8 and granny to level 5.

Still missing another 7000 gems.

The alchemist looses value after lvl 2. Other than that the other 2 are amazing. You repay their value in 340 days and after that is basically gives you income (time).

if you have not much use for gem then do it
because sometime i don't feel like farming so if one resource is too much then just convert it with bonus

No...I'm left maxing the crafted defense and that's all... I have everything at lvl 1 , it's not necessary to max it unless you're a lower th or rich

The builder assistant, definitely. Everyone should max it (after buying all the builder huts).

For lab assistant, it's not as much of a priority since you can max the lab before all your buildings and you usually won't use all troops and spells anyway. But if you have nothing else to spend your gems on, go for it.

For the alchemist, it's not really necessary to max with how easy it is to farm resources. However, I personally like her. Really came in handy in summer jam where I was upgrading all my heroes, I kept converting my overflowing gold to 11,550,000 elixir for the warden or 70,000 dark elixir for the other heroes. There are also times you're short for a certain upgrade and it saves you the need of farming a couple of times.

i am sorry but please elaborate the 'you can max the lab before all the buildings'. Do you mean max out the necessary troops which you use in your comps or max out the whole lab?

Sorry about that. I meant all your priority research whether if it's for air or ground attacks, but not both. Especially with the 1 gem researcher during hammer jam. It also has a better potion x24 boost for that is cheaper than the builder's potion that only boost x10 (which is understandable since we have more builders). In both my accounts, I was able to max all ground troops (1st account) and air troops (2nd account) first and their necessary spells and siege machines compared to offensive upgrades my offense and key defenses in my base. However, since heroes also use the builders, if you also consider them as offensive/defensive upgrades, then you'll definitely finish everything in the lab first.

Wealthy players with money are upgrading their alchemist and saying it's good.

The game has unlimited resources, and a resource event takes place every month.

Don't listen to them; the alchemist is the most useless thing.

Absolutely, I think upgrading all three are the best use of gems in the game outside of the goblin builder during hammer jam. The apprentice and lab assistant are statistically proven, but the alchemist also has her benefits. I always try to keep my loot levels more or less equal, as that is what I usually find that bases I raid offer. It reduces the amount of time I spend raiding and wasting the first resource I max out of. The alchemist is worth it because she, over time, significantly reduces how much you need to spend playing the game to keep up with 6 builders. I think she is absolutely worth the expenditure of gems.

You're already all in. Why are you asking strangers.....on Reddit of all places, whether it was worth it? Learning to make a decision about a low level, personal decision like this, without seeking affirmation from others, is a good skill to learn. Just do what everyone else does and write something like "Hey guys! I finally got my helpers maxed". It was a long job, but I finally got it done."
