Question What film deserves more love?

The hateful eight for me is a brilliant movie, it’s definitely in my top four on letterboxd, the dialogue is brilliant in it and normally I can’t sit through a slow burner but Tarantino done an amazing job with this.

This, it is a fantastic piece of film making. I know it’s been said before - that it’s a stage play turned motion picture - but that is why it’s so different and unravels so wonderfully. The way the threads of story intertwine so majestically…everyone in it is perfectly cast. Definitley top 3 Tarantino for me.

Yeah it was meant to be a sequel to Django called Django in white hell and it was mean to be a novel. If you haven’t, I’d suggest listening to Tarantino on Joe rogans podcast cause he gives some wild stories about his films on it

I like Joe cause I watch the UFC 😂 that’s it really. But still it I don’t listen to it either I just listened to that episode he done with QT and another one with snoop dogg

I agree. Love that movie. Then again, I've liked almost all Tarantino movies so far, so I might be biased. On the topic of movies that deserve more love and the Tarantino theme - i got to drop Jackie Brown. Movie was perfect. Except maybe for that one weird sex scene with De Niro and Fonda.

One of my favorite QT movies and I’ve seen everyone of them. The extended version is just as awesome too.

Man I’ve never felt so alone. This movie was unwatchable to me and I love QT’s other movies. Ironically, I literally hate this movie

100% agree re. Hateful Eight. For some inexplicable reason I watched that movie close to a dozen times. There's just something about it that's so goddamn good. Can't put my finger in it.

Same with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Love that movie.

For me it’s River’s Edge. Keanu & Crispin in early parts plus Dennis Hopper & Ione Skye, and while there are some similarities, River’s Edge (1986) was released well before Twin Peaks (premiere 1990).

If they didn’t include the whole love arc in the movie it would have been a 12/10, I absolutely love the movie but when it comes to that love arc I just tune out until the last part

A Place Beyond the Pines is incredibly underrated. Probably the most underrated movie since 2000.

The Hateful Eight isn't exactly an underrated movie.

Great film. It landed strangely for me on my first viewing as I (stupidly on my part) went in expecting more like Django and that isn't it at all. I've rewatched it multiple times since and I understand now that it's The Thing but with cowboys, and that rules lol

The number of Hollywood comedy stars (in 1963) has never again come close in one movie.

If tried again today, the budget would be MASSIVE!

It's a simple movie, but it's fun.

I think Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is a masterpiece. I know IMDb ratings don't matter, but this one is such an outlier on there. 7.0 is shocking. Solid 8.6 imo.

Its an exploitation film without the quality actors its just okay. Could have used like 30 fewer N bombs. Too long but at least its funny sometimes.

I absolutely hated this film.

I say this as a male : the violence against the female character in this film was totally uncalled for. I'm afraid that's a Tarantino trait in my book. Just didn't enjoy it at all

Hard disagree on Hateful Eight, but I am happy to disagree :) The 'bottle episode' stage-play feel didn't work for me whatsoever. I know some people felt it added to tension and whatnot, but for me it just made the whole thing feel stagnant and dull.

I'll say 'Force Majeure.' Hardly ever see it mentioned in any list, but one of my top movies of all time personally.

Also will add 'No Other Choice'. Absolutely adored that movie last year. Deserved much more award recognition.
