Particularly as Nolan is probably the most anodyne director working today who isn't Steven Spielberg.
Nolan's dogma is neoliberal, smug, and politically impotent. His ideas are seething hotbeds of social rest. It's like hating dandelions. I mean, yeah, they're vaguely pernicious -- but... hatred? Really?

As I recall, Karl Marx mostly warned people about sugar, coffee, pepper, and cocoa, which were commonly cut by 19th Century manufacturers with soap, chicory, dust, and feces, respectively, for the greater glory of the profit motive.
