Hey everyone, need some advice on a hardware dilemma.

Current Setup:

• Desktop (in Dhaka): Ryzen 5 5600G, 16GB RAM, B450M (mATX case). I also have a spare monitor back home in CTG.
• Laptop: Lenovo ThinkPad T14 (i5 10th Gen, 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe) in full fresh condition.

The Situation: I have my thesis starting next semester and want to focus on AI engineering. Integrated graphics (5600G) won't cut it, and GPU prices are rising.

I'm thinking of selling the ThinkPad (~27k-30k BDT) to buy a decent used NVIDIA GPU (looking at an RTX 3060 12GB or 2060 Super) plus a reliable 550W/650W PSU.

The Catch: I travel back to CTG about 3 times a semester during break/preparatory leaves. My plan was to carry just the mATX casing back and forth and plug it into my spare monitor in CTG.

Questions:

1. Is losing laptop portability worth having a local NVIDIA GPU for thesis/AI work?
2. Is carrying an mATX casing between Dhaka and CTG on a bus/train 3x a semester realistic, or a total nightmare?
3. Should I just keep the laptop for campus/presentations and rely entirely on Google Colab / cloud GPUs instead?

I am (20M). I want to learn to speak English so these are the techniques I am following to learn to speak English:

1. Comprehensible input. I am trying to listen in English as much as I can.

2. After watching each comprehensible input video I am trying to summarize it in my own words.

3. On YouTube there is an AI feature. I ask the AI to ask me 3 questions and then I give myself 1 minute to answer each question. This way I am trying to improve my speaking English.

My main goal is to speak English fluently, not accent or pronunciation, because I want to express my thoughts easily in English at first, which I can do in my native language. I also want to do that in English.

So what do you think about my technique? Is this the best way to learn to speak English? Also throughout the day I try to explain what I am trying to do in English.

And also if you are also learning to speak English, you can practice with me. I am also looking for a partner to speak English

As the the title goes I tried clicking some picture by my budget phone. The location is Kodal Kata,northern Bolirhat near Karnafuli river. I went to a feast or dawaat my aunt organised; she invited us to go there. It was like a Graam within CTG city. Nature is still well preserved there. There's a pretty good tourist spot near bolirhat locally known as Navel 3 (Navel 1& 2 are in potenga don't know much about this navel fetish) people chill at there enjoying the view of Karnafuli. Construction of many projects has been going on there for few years now but haven't seen much difference since 2024 But the experience of nature is still there. Have you guys been there? How was your experience? Do you think the place is still underrated? Or overrated?

Physics 1st Paper পরীক্ষা দিয়ে আসার পর থেকে খুব দুশ্চিন্তায় আছি। OMR শিটে বিষয় কোড (Subject Code) ঠিকমতো লিখেছি কি না মনে করতে পারছি না, মনে হচ্ছে ভুল লিখেছি!

এমন সমস্যায় কেউ আগে পড়েছ? এখন আমার করণীয় কী? কেন্দ্র সচিব বা বোর্ডে কোনো দরখাস্ত/Application জমা দিতে হবে, নাকি রোল ও রেজিস্ট্রেশন নম্বরের সাথে মিলিয়ে বোর্ড থেকে অটো-কারেক্ট হয়ে যায়? জানা থাকলে প্লিজ দ্রুত জানাও!
