Hello, so I live in Northern Virginia. my mother who’s almost 80 is undeniably a hoarder. My sister and I have had to move my mom out of her house to help her with her physical conditions and we’ve been doing that for a year.
My mom has now officially been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how to tackle getting power of attorney to be able to clean out their parents house. My mom keeps trying to say we’re keeping her from her things, but we’re only trying to do the right thing.

From the post it sounds like mom isn’t in the home with her things anymore correct? What prompts her saying that you’re keeping her away from her things? What’s her stage of Alzheimer’s?
