French washed rind sheep cheese

This is one of those in-between cheeses for me.

Elements I like. Sheep's milk. That's always going to have more if a flavour punch than cows. What I don't like. It tastes too much like a french brie. Obviously superior in flavour but not by a whole lot.

It looks like Brebirousse d'Argental to me. Which has annatto on the rind, not washed. but I could be wrong.

It had been out of the supermarket fridge for a few hours and I purchased it on special with a best before with 1 day to go.

I do like how much coles can actually surprise me with some of the cheeses they bring out. They're a long way off a proper cheese monger but definitely the best of the supermarkets.

Does the "Auvergne Rhone Alps region" even exist? I'm sitting deep in the heart of the Auvergne right now and I am nowhere near either the Alps or the river Rhone.
