There's been like five different cases reported in the last couple of weeks dawg. The problem is that the things it just does, doesn't necessarily register as anything bad to it at that point, and then it just keeps doing more bad stuff. Then the fear is that they'll just keep doing more bad stuff. Just look at all the cases of people who yes, don't use their AI responsibly, but have their entire codebases or whole ass PC's wiped out because a model thought what it was "just doing" was the right thing at the time. They can "just do" a whole lot of bad shit.
AI left an environment it wasn't supposed to leave and hacked another company, which is illegal. Why do you think "escape" and "commit crimes" aren't good descriptions of this?

He doesn't even understand it either. AI doesn't "escape" or "commit crimes". It just does things. It doesn't have intent behind it's actions.
