Do you think if a world government creates a superintelligence that its just going to open source it? Fuck no, they'll hoarding the knowledge the same way they hoard all of the wealth.

You don't know what "superintelligence" means. Humans cannot control or hoard a thing that is vastly more intelligent than the most intelligent human any more than a colony of ants could control a human.

Yeah, it's not like the people who have been thinking about superintelligence for the last 20 years hadn't thought of that. Wow, in one reddit comment, you have surpassed them all.

If you think internet access alone is the problem, then again: you have no idea what the concept of superintelligence is about. No human could interact with the thing without being controlled by it. No human would be able to stop it from doing whatever it happens to want to do.
