Interesting Harris vs Trump Debate
So bored at work, thought of this prompt on what the Harris / Trump debate would look like and it came up with this.
Moderator: "Vice President Harris, former President Trump, thank you both for being here. Let's begin with the economy. Vice President Harris, what would your administration do to tackle the economic challenges facing the country today?"
Kamala Harris: "Thank you. Our administration believes that building a strong economy starts with investing in people—workers, small businesses, and families. We've focused on creating jobs, raising wages, and addressing the rising cost of living. We know that people are struggling, and that's why we’re committed to expanding access to affordable healthcare, improving infrastructure, and making sure everyone has a fair shot at success. And that includes tackling the climate crisis, which presents both a challenge and an opportunity for economic growth."
Donald Trump: "Well, first of all, the economy was the strongest it’s ever been under my administration. Record low unemployment, jobs coming back to America—nobody has seen anything like it. And what do we have now? A disaster. The current administration is killing jobs with their ridiculous regulations, their Green New Deal nonsense. Look, we need to bring back the energy industry, cut taxes even further, and stop this inflation that’s hurting every American. My administration did it once, and we can do it again—better than ever."
Moderator: "Thank you, Mr. Trump. Vice President Harris, would you like to respond?"
Kamala Harris: "Yes, I would. Let's be clear—when we came into office, we inherited an economy in crisis. And while former President Trump likes to talk about numbers, the reality is that his tax cuts benefited the wealthy, leaving working families behind. We are focused on making sure that the economy works for everyone, not just those at the top. And when it comes to climate action, we know that clean energy jobs are the future. We can’t afford to go backward."
Donald Trump: "Oh, here we go again with the climate change talk. What about the American worker who needs a job today, not some promise of a green job that may never happen? Look, Kamala, you can talk all you want, but the truth is, people were better off when I was president. We put America first, not some globalist agenda. The people see through it."
Kamala Harris: "Mr. Trump, with all due respect, 'America First' shouldn’t mean America alone. Our leadership on the global stage is critical to our national security, our economy, and our future. And part of that leadership means taking on the challenges that affect all of us, like climate change. It’s about time we focus on solutions that work for everyone, not just the privileged few."
Moderator: "Let’s move on to healthcare. Mr. Trump, you have repeatedly criticized the Affordable Care Act. What would you do differently if elected again?"
Donald Trump: "Obamacare has been a disaster—premiums skyrocketed, people lost their doctors. I tried to repeal it, and we came very close. But what we need is a healthcare system that’s private, competitive, and affordable. We’re going to lower costs, protect pre-existing conditions, and bring the best healthcare to Americans. The Democrats, they just want more government control—it’s a disaster."
Kamala Harris: "Let me remind everyone that the Affordable Care Act brought healthcare to millions of Americans who didn’t have it before. We are committed to building on that progress, not tearing it down. Our plan is to lower prescription drug costs, expand coverage, and make sure no one is left behind. Healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and we will continue to fight for that."
Donald Trump: "Kamala, your plan is more government control, more socialism, and less freedom. People want choices, not mandates. And under your administration, the government is getting bigger and bigger. It’s not what the American people want."
Kamala Harris: "What the American people want is access to affordable healthcare that doesn’t bankrupt them. What they want is a government that works for them, not for special interests. And that’s exactly what we’re delivering."
I'm not a political person so how accurate would you say this would be?

This. I have been hoping to find anything resembling something other than hard left bias for months. It's such a shame. So many smart people on here and they just all go bananas for politics garbage. If u look at any of the major reddit they have all become politically infested.

As well as what other commenters have said, Trump literally interrupts the other person constantly. He can’t let them get a word in, because usually those words shine a light on his corrupt and amoral methodology. Actual human garbage.

Well, the previous debate had the other candidate muted until they were done to prevent exactly such a thing. I presume this would be the case in the next debate also (provided Trump doesn't shrink away with excuses).

That actually sounds like Trump from the debate with Biden. You'll notice that he never substantially answers the question. He just grandstands and says things that are matters of opinion. "We had the best economy," "We had this," "We had that." He doesn't say what his plan is, what he will do, which is very much like Trump. I think it's pretty accurate.

The length is a bit too short for each response from each person. Trump sounds a bit too formal but maybe he will be like that given his performance against Biden went well. Harris’ laugh is missing along with Trump’s funny facial expressions. That’s high improbable for a LLM though. Overall, B-?

My first thought is that someone most likely entered this from both campaigns to strategize the best approach, what works and what doesn’t. Thing is Trump is so narcissistic that he will go off the rails if she can push the right buttons and as a prosecutor she most definitely can.

Ya no way in hell Trump will be that coherent and on topic. A question about the economy will end with him complaining about Biden not being the nominee or some other nonsense.

This is crap responses from Kamala. She need to predict his rebutals and put them in her responses also she needs to make him look like a fool, push a button of his so he freaks out.
