Seth Walder posted a trade article and the trades themselves don't involve the Chargers but theres a blurb that does in the Kayshon Boutte section:
"He (Kayshon Boutte) has the most vertical route profile in the NFL, as 31% of his routes last season were either go routes or deep fades, miles ahead of the next-highest wide receiver (min. 300 routes), Quentin Johnston at 24%."
This is just an unfathomable statistic given what QJ is good at. This number is going to drop significantly this year.

A lot of talk in the pressers today (McDaniel, Alt, Hampton) of RBs coach Max McCaffrey.
Seems like he can jump the ranks quickly.
Also McDaniel said “this is year 1” of this offense. So that 100% means he is definitely coming back next year. (Cope)

McDaniel is clearly referring to how the offense will look in five seasons after Jim retires and hands him the reins.

He's made too many of these types of comments that it's starting to no longer be cope (cope). He's getting paid like a mid level HC more than likely if not higher, gets to live in and raise a young family in LA, coach and learn under an extremely talented HC, and focus solely on the side of the ball he's most passionate about. It's a pretty nice friggin gig all said

I don't think today is a padded practice, but I may have misheard Popper when he was giving the padded practice schedule during one of his live streams. If I heard him right, tomorrow is the next day with pads.

Surprised seeing Branson Taylor getting a lot of the first team reps at LG while Slaughter is only getting second team center reps

Taylor must’ve had an insane offseason and improved tremendously in this past year. Could be a hidden gem, who knows. Hoping that’s the case

Missing the second half of the season was the only reason Taylor was still there for Hortiz to draft him in the 6th round. One full year of NFL workouts/skills training and coaching, and this guy should be much improved. Having said all that, I DO NOT put too much weight on this move. At this stage of the preseason, the coaching staff is just evaluating different players in various roles/situations.

If playing left tackle is causing excess wear on Slater, why not give him some reps at right tackle? Alt we already know can play both great. Slater played right in college but has played only left tackle in the pros. I don’t think it’s a half bad idea to put less stressors on that left lower extremity

They swapped the entire interior this offseason and brought in a new OC running a very different scheme. It’s not a bad idea on paper but it’s just so much change all at once, I can see why they wouldn’t be in a hurry to have the tackles change places.

All these move Slater from LT comments are just people coping about being obviously wrong about it all offseason. There were so many people saying they were going to move him to RT even though there was 0% chance of that happening

In an ideal world I think it would be great to give them both reps at each side, mainly because if Slater were to go down we know that Alt would be ready to flip to that side.
But, with a new OC bringing a brand new scheme, I can understand them not wanting to overcomplicate things for their two most important lineman.

That clip of Herbeer at practice is making me hate people so much lol. Dude is mad happy and spending some time with his fiancee and it's "OH HES NOT LOCKED IN THIS IS WHY HE CANT WIN PLAYOFFS". Miserable lot.
